Eight years ago, in 2010, we started out on this project to\u00a0build a new Glenariffe Community and Recreation Centre
\nfor everyone to use. It\u2019s now September 2018, and after\u00a0a lot of hard work, endless meetings and loads of
\nfundraising, we\u2019re nearly there.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re very proud of Glenariffe’s community spirit and the fantastic support our community has given to help get this project off the ground. A lot of people have worked very hard over the past 8 years to help realise our goal to provide a community space for the people of Glenariffe. We may be a small community, but we have raised over \u00a3281,000 ourselves and secured the rest of the funding required to get Phase One of our community build project underway from The Big Lottery-funded Space & Place Programme, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and a loan from Ulster Community Investment Trust (UCIT).<\/p>\n
There\u2019s still lots of work to do and funding to be raised to complete the project, so we hope we can count on your support. We are currently fundraising to kit out the Centre with furniture and equipment to make it fully operational. We have secured the funding to build the new Centre, but we need a further \u00a3150,000 to fit out the Centre.\u00a0 Please make a donation to our \u2018Help our Fit-Out Fund\u2019 so that we can provide the facilities and services our community desperately needs and deserves.<\/p>\n
